Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Rabeprazole is used to treat erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid caused by gastro esophageal reflux disease, or GERD).
What is Domperidone in Rabest-D for?
This medication is an anti dopaminergic agent, used in treating nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal problems. Domperidone helps the stomach get rid of food and lowers signs of an upset stomach, throwing up, heartburn, and fullness.
Common side effects of Rabeprazole in Rabest-D:
Common side effects are headache, loose stools (diarrhea).
When do I need to seek medical help?
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug, these include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad dizziness or passing out.
